Window Upgrade Project
Project Summery
In this project the client wanted F&W to replace 4 windows. These windows were almost 40 years old. The sashes were worn out and drafty. We replaced the old windows using a conversion kit by Anderson for their older windows. We replaced the windows without taking down the exterior siding and without disturbing the interior trim. The customer had their front windows converted last fall and were so happy they went ahead and replaced the windows in the rest of the house. The client said that the paper delivery used to wake them upp every morning, now they can hardley hear the trash truck go by. They also no longer fell the clod drafts coming in. The new windows tilt in so that they are easy for them to clean.
Project Challenges
One of the biggest challenges on this project was fitting the new windows into the existing opening, but with the help of the Anderson conversion kits were able to install the windows without having to rip apart the interior and exterior of the house. This saved us a considerable amount of time on the installation.
