Exterior Porch and Steps
Project Summery
In this project the client wanted F&W to construct a covered porch off the side of the house that would match an existing front porch. They also wanted us to create a matching set of steps at the back of the house outside of an existing sliding glass door.
Project Challenges
One of the biggest challenges on this project was creating the new porches so that they matched the existing front porch that was constructed over 20 years earlier. The decking had to match lumber unlike anything we had ever seen in local lumberyards.
Luckily a local supplier was able to order in material and it was a perfect match to the existing lumber without even having to deal with fading variations.
